About supervision

Hi, I’m Silvia and I’m a board approved supervisor. I provide supervision to other psychologists and mental health professionals including social workers, counsellors and psychotherapists. I have strong experience in supervising Provisional Psychologists under the 5+1 program and transitional program. I currently have capacity for both primary and secondary supervision. I can also provide supervision for those on the registrar program as a secondary supervisor for both clinical psychology and counselling psychology endorsements.
Over my 15 years of experience across Mexico and Australia, I’ve worked in both non-for-profit and private organisations, holding clinical and leadership roles. At the heart of my work is a strong commitment to values-based practice, breaking down barriers, and supporting people from diverse backgrounds. As a supervisor, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many mental health professionals, especially in the areas of drug and alcohol, private practice and perinatal mental health.
I know how much of a difference good supervision can have in making your career enjoyable and long-lasting. I care deeply about supporting both early career and experienced psychologists to build sustainable, fulfilling clinical practices and avoid burnout.
I believe supervision should be more than just case discussion or ticking boxes. It should be a safe, reflective and nurturing space where in partnership, you have support that addresses your unique clinical challenges and professional development needs. Just as we create and hold space for our clients, you deserve the same.
My supervision style is largely underpinned by SHAPE and SEED models of supervision which are commonly used in ACT and Contextual Behavioural approaches.
You might find we’re a good fit if:
-
You’d like to deepen your ACT practice beyond the standard workshops.
-
You’re stepping into (or already in) a leadership role without formal leadership training, and want to build sustainable practices for yourself and your team.
-
You want to work in a genuinely trauma-informed way.
-
You’d like to strengthen your reflective practice skills.
-
You’re an overseas-trained psychologist navigating Medicare and private practice in Australia.
-
You value a process-oriented supervision style that also sharpens your evidence-based interventions.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to have a quick chat to see if we’d be a good fit to work together.
